The work related to phonological awareness aims to exercise the perception of the basic structures that relate spoken language and writing. It involves learning to identify phonemes as basic sound expressions, their grouping in syllables and their orderly combination forming words. The adequate knowledge and management of these basic units is fundamental for the correct learning of reading and writing. These set of activities are designed to give students multiple opportunities to practice phonological awareness in the Spanish Language aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards.
