Sed Iment is a tiny grain of sand that is weathered from his rock bed and goes on an earth science adventure. After being eroded by wind and water Sed ends up in a dry creek where he is cemented together with other sediments and forms a "Sed Imentry Rock". Vocabulary in the video include weathering, erosion, deposition. There are several puns that could be used as mini lessons for literacy. This would also make a great example for students as a part of the "Elaborate" part of the 5E learning cycle if students are asked to take what they've learned and turn it into a children's story. This video could be used in a number of ways. But most of all it reinforces earth science concepts in a fun memorable way!
