Set includes 4 See Think Wonders for the artist VanGogh.
How to do "see think wonder"
The students will look at a picture, piece of artwork or photograph.
The students first look to see what they “see”.
Students write at least 3 things they see in bullet point format.
The students think about the artwork or photograph. What do they think is going on?
What do they think it is about?
What do they think it is made from?
Students write at least 3 things that they think in bullet point format.
The students might still be wondering about the artwork or photograph. What do you wonder about the piece?
What questions do you have?
Students try to write at least 3 wonderings.
Upon completion students share out their response, sharing first three students’ “see”, then a different three “think”, then three “wonder.”
These make great bulletin boards and can be completed in many contexts.
I have previously used photographs of 9/11, for students to use as a social studies lesson.
