The 4th Grade SMARTBoard Introduction to Seed Plant Reproduction is a SMARTBoard 4th grade level instructional presentation
This lesson focuses on all of the aspects relating to seed plant reproduction. It includes: a SMARTBoard presentation of the text emphasizing the concepts relating to seed plants. There are also two SMARTBoard interactive activities

The presentation includes:
• Vocabulary (seed, reproduction, ovary, pollination, fertilization, germination, and life cycle)
• Ways to classify seed plants
• Introduction to conifers
• Seed plant reproduction
• Flower parts (anther, stamen, pistil, ovary) along with descriptions
• Pollination and fertilization
• Seed anatomy, germination, and seed growth
• Plant life cycle
• How seeds are spread
• Inherited plant traits
• Introduction to runners, cuttings, tubers, and bulbs

The activities include:
• Activity 1 – Students will be able to match terminology to the pictures/descriptors
• Activity 2 – Students will be able to identify seed anatomy, flower anatomy, and flower growth stages

The activities are also available in printable forms (PDFs) so that they may be completed as seatwork or homework.
