This is a seed sorting and matching activity that I created for my K-5 ELL summer school students. (I did the activity twice, once for the K-2 students and once for the 3-5 students, tweaking the amount of support I gave.) The attached Power Point not only explains to the teacher how to do the activity (in the notes section) but includes pictures of how it should look. For the matching/game portion, I've taken pictures of the seeds and the seed packets so that you can show the seed picture, have the students guess, and then flash the answer (the seed packet). I've also included an explanation of what my students did with the seeds. I think you could do this activity for 2 class periods of 45 minutes or so each, plus more to teach them about the plants that go with the seeds. The classifying part is simpler, and the matching part takes up most of the 25 slides.
