Looking for more ways to incorporate Seesaw into your classroom? This Seesaw Activity meets multiple writing and speaking and listening standards. We have Kid News time two times a week in my class. You can work on writing conventions, spelling, sight words, etc. through Kid News!
I've used this activity in two ways:
1. Pick a student or two to share a piece of news about themselves in front of the class. That student writes their news on the whiteboard or on chart paper. The rest of the class completes a Kid News template on Seesaw to write and draw about what the student said.
2. As an at home activity, students will share a piece of news about themselves. They will type, draw, and record themselves reading their news. Other students can then listen to news and comment on it.
Included in this resource you will find 5 differentiated templates, Seesaw directions for uploading this activity, copy and paste directions for you to use, and a student example that can be uploaded for students to view.
I hope that you find this to be a valuable digital writing resource in your classroom!
