Learning Objective

SWBAT demonstrate phonological awareness by identifying syllables in spoken words, segmenting multisyllabic words into syllables and then blending the syllables by sorting after echo speaking segmented words.


Use the fun segmenting syllables game to teach phonemic awareness skill of counting syllables. Practice syllable segmenting during morning meeting, guided reading, or word work practice by counting the syllables the animals eat. Then use the worksheets for assessment or homework. So fun!
