I made this graphic organizer to visualize these key concepts:
1) relationship between distance formula & Pythagorean Theorem
2) segment Addition Postulate with Introduction of “between” concept
3) central location of definitions, postulates, & theorems for proofs
The intent of this graphic organizer is to supplement your lesson examples by putting these formulas on a separate page.
This graphic organizer utilizes a full sheet of 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper intended to be glued into interactive student notebooks (ISN). Custom tab included.
I have students fold first, glue second (6 dots only to dry quickly), and cut third. Student then add a tab to their ISN to find easily. The TAB is intended to be glued on the right side of the notebook (even if you glue on the left side) and staggered down the side to be read easily.
Folded, this graphic organizer has 6 boxes – 3 rows by 2 columns.
The academic vocabulary is on the outside with formulas and diagrams on the inside.
