This sheet gives students 6 definitions for terms on the circles vocabulary worksheet. The idea is that students match a description to an image that meets its criteria (that's what a definition is!). Then, students are invited to use the wording of those given definitions to create their own descriptions (definitions) of the remaining diagrams. Words or phrases from the given definitions that will be used in the students' definitions are bolded to help scaffold this process. The idea is to drive home that a definition is just a clear description of what a thing is- not some random assortment of words to be memorized. They should make sense!
