This 'craftivity' develops students' self-awareness & self-advocacy skills. It's a great get-to-know-you activity for back-to-school, and is helpful for IEP meetings. It can be completed individually, or as a whole class.
Students write their strengths, needs, and requests on 5 journalling spots, colour and/or cut out journalling spots, and glue onto a background scene. Final products can be presented to the class (great for developing self-advocacy as well as oral language skills), put on bulletin boards, or used as conversation starters during IEP meetings.
This product includes 4 options (in both colour, and black & white) for scene creation:
-butterflies in the garden
-penguins in the arctic
-crabs at the beach
-rockets in space.
Note that this product is designed to be printed on tabloid (11x17) paper for best results.
