These are visual cue cards for students (with or without special needs) to use to communicate the level of assistance they may need on an assignment. The green indicates that it is easy and they can do the rest on their own. The yellow indicates they may need a little help. The red indicates it is hard and they need a lot of help. This is a great tool to use for students who have difficulty communicating their need for help. I laminate the cards, punch a hole in the corner of each, and fix them to a key ring. The students store them in their toolbox pencil cases and know to take them out when they need them. The goal is for theses students to eventually move away from the visual aid and get comfortable voicing their need. PDF file.
