Many times we find our students "stuck" or constantly asking for support without trying to solve the problem on their own. They become frustrated and sometimes even give up. Here is a set of resources aimed at building self-assessment using growth mindset statements to recognize growth and areas of need. There are 3 different tools to use in this file:
1. Self-Assessment Checklist- mostly used in Kindergarten, after taught the symbols that go along with each statement, the students can begin to use this tool to guide their difficult moments into successful new without the immediate support from an educator.
2. Self-Assessment Mini Checklist: Mostly used by primary students as they are working independently to check on their progress and to ensure they are using all tools to guide them and help them, while creating goals for next time.
3. Statements for your students to read to learn more about how to persevere through difficult moments during the day at school. These posters can be introduced one at a time or as a set as you wish to introduce these tools to your students.
