Self-Control and Impulsivity Control are skills that are significant indicators of future success. They are also skills that can improve a student's self-concept and behavior in and out of the classroom environment. Many times, students with behavioral issues are lacking this very important skill.
Using this presentation for your guidance lesson, you can easily help students to identify choices, consequences, and the ways to help themselves to utilize the "Stop. Breathe. Think. Choose." process to improve self-control and choices. It is also a platform that helps you to explain that good friendship skills include thinking about others and self-control.
This presentation has 18 slides and includes a link to 3 different videos that address these concepts. I would schedule 30-45 minutes for this lesson.
The PowerPoint is customizable and includes comprehension questions to support you in your lesson. The presentation includes both animations and transitions to hold your students' interest. Make your lesson come alive for your students and help them to connect to the concept in a fun way that will help them to remember the important lessons you need for them to remember.
