This packet contains 319 self-esteem messages. The messages are formatted to print on adhesive mailing labels. Once they are printed, you may attach them to any paper shape that you would like--shamrocks, Easter eggs, snowmen, hearts, etc.
There are many options for distributing them. The students might select messages from a fish bowl or other container, find them hidden in their lunch pails or desks, or be handed out by the teacher.
Ideas for use are included inside this packet. Here is one example:
At the beginning of school, the teacher might say, "Each of you in my class this year have special talents. In this container are reminders of one of your special talents. As I come by, reach in the container and pick one out. Read it to yourself. After I've finished passing them out, I will come and tape it on you. Then you may have __ minutes to walk around the class and read each other's special talent."
Besides building students' self-esteem, the messages also allow students the opportunity to increase their reading, speaking, and listening skills.
I have used these messages for 30 years, and they have been great self-esteem builders!
Building children's self-esteem gives them confidence, self-awareness, and self-acceptance.
