Help your students help themselves!
Perfect for making a New Year’s resolution (or new school year resolution) to improve a personal weakness related to studying.
This two-page Study Habits Self-Help Test is designed to encourage conscious attention to individual study skills.
Used often in a group discussion of each skill, students assess themselves individually after discussion of each item.
At the end every student develops one specific improvement statement (resolution) based on an honest evaluation of a particularly weak study habit.
The exam has been used effectively at the beginning of the school year, or right after January 1, when family and friends are making New Year's resolutions.
Completing the test at this time seems helpful because the motivation to “join the fun” of self-improvement is especially effective then.
