This packet includes 10 self-monitoring, emoji, data collection pages in both color and black/white versions for seasonal themes. These pages may be used with any activity you have chosen for your lesson.
These pages provide a great way for students to have a fun, visual representation of the accuracy of their responses. The pages also make for easy recording, by the SLP, of accurate/inaccurate responses. Simply jot down how many correct, and how many incorrect emojis are covered at the end of the session to easily obtain percentages.
If using the color versions in group therapy, print and laminate a reusable page for each student. Students should cover either an “I’ve got this!” image or an “I’ll keep trying!” image depending on whether or not their response is correct. Possible items for covering the emojis include, magnetic tokens, coins, mini erasers, or a student favorite – play dough balls. ( Keep a container of pre-rolled play dough balls handy for a grab and use activity.)
If using the black/white pages, print sufficient copies for each student to have their own. Students may color the appropriate emoji image after each response provided, based on the accuracy of the response.
