This was a final project I did with my students in Baltimore, MD. Quite a few of them appreciated that I divided their final into three parts, and made the paper and art piece worth more than the state-required test I had to give them. You can also get some VERY interesting and unique projects with this--I think some of my favorites included DaVinci's "Ventruvian Man" and the Shepard Fairy "Obama Hope" campaign poster.
In this, you will get two rubrics to help with grading, as well as the overview and outlines of each project. Since this was designed to be a final project, and to allow for a bit of freedom, it's hard to really detail the lessons. But the students appreciate the freedom you give them, and you would be surprised how creative the students can get with picking art pieces you do not expect.
