Take students through observational drawing, teaching contour line, value through the use of objects such as cubes, wooden shapes, shells and other challenge objects. **(You must supply the objects to use as reference for the observational drawings.)**
Use worksheets that teach how to enlarge on a grid.
Take students step-by step with worksheets provided and the powerpoint on how to draw the basic facial proportions.
Finally have students apply the knowledge they've learned through observational drawing, grids and facial structure using a photographic reference to create their self-portraits.
Enjoy this one, the students always amaze me and themselves!
