This is a project where students create connections about traits and heredity through a "selfie" family tree.
Students will be required to create a "selfie family tree" using technology to create a flow chart. They will then begin to identify generations in a family.
Students will then collect data on the inherited traits that are passed down and will begin to recognize dominant vs recessive traits in a family/population.
Students will begin to develop a clear understanding of the term: heredity & how it relates to genetics.
There are discussion questions attached using higher bloom's taxonomy verbs.
I had students submit their work through google classroom for easier organization & grading.
I created the documents for them and shared them within the assignment.
