This game is a cross between dominoes and matching.
Distribute all popsicle sticks, so students have as close to an even amount as possible. All sticks must be used (27 pairs of synonyms or 27 pairs of antonyms). Students should place sticks in front of them so they can see all of their words.
One person begins the game by placing a stick in the middle of the table. The person to the left will try to match one of words to a word on their sticks. When there is a match, place the stick at a right angle, with the words overlapping each other. The puzzle will wind up looking like a crossword puzzle or a maze.
