your final for the first half of AP Art History will be a test that covers Prehistoric to Late Gothic chapters and images. There are 54 Multiple Choice, True/False, and Fill in; 3 extra credit questions, 1 essay. The essay is a “30 minute essay” written in the style of AP College Board. You will be given one image to write about and then a list of other images from the 250 image set to write about and compare with the first image.
What to study
Look over all of your tests and lecture notes from:
-Prehistoric & Near East
-Egyptian & Greek
-Etruscan & Roman
-Late Antiquity, Byzantine, & Islamic
-Early Medieval, Romanesque, & Gothic
-Late Gothic in Italy
-Barron’s Chapters 1-13 read summaries and look at image information
-Gardner’s 1-14 read over what you wrote to answer questions
-Finish Vocabulary List (visual vocabulary) and study Dec 9, 10, 11, review Dec 15
-In class we will finish the visual vocabulary, organize and study all art sheets, look over as many images as we can before the final but it is YOUR responsibility to study every day until the final. NO last minute cramming sessions (it will not help you just increase anxiety/stress and interrupt your healthy sleep patterns).
