This is a semester long ongoing budget assignment for my career and lifetime finance class. First day of class the students all draw a job and salary (the salary is the average salary for that job in the United States) and then they fill out the budget sheet (included) with that as their basis. Then once a week student's draw another item that they must include in that budget. The one following the job should be family and if they have a spouse or partner that income should be included in their budget as well after that should be house, then it is up to you. Mix the incidents in between what is left to cover the rest of the time. I have included all of these that you can cut out and have the students draw.
