This book is a trauma-informed group counseling guide for students. Its psycho-educational counseling sessions are built on healthy coping skills and goal work in order to soothe struggling students and guide them to be successful. It is appropriate for all students, especially those that suffer from trauma. In each session, students will learn and practice a different healthy coping skill and conflict resolution strategy. Group members will also review grades and share successes with a self-chosen academic or behavioral SMART goal each session. Throughout the group, there are various team-building activities such as advising others on healthy coping skills, game playing, and more. With this publication, you will receive: a sessions guide with 8 weekly 1 hour sessions, a recommendations guide for running a trauma-informed counseling support group, a parent permission letter, data templates for analyzing student progress, templates for session notes, group rules, weekly group evaluations, additional activities to extend your sessions, and more! This guide is appropriate for students in grades 3-12.
