Adapted from a "hand-me-down" project from other teachers (hence the freebie), this three page writing project includes a description of the Senior Memory book, tentative deadlines (to be altered), and a rubric. All are student-ready.
A Senior Memory Book will consist of your senior students' memories and thoughts from your whole life (K-12 including vacations, games played, struggles, etc). This collection of memories will be due at the end of the year, but they must begin in August and work on it for the remainder of the course in order to complete it on time. Chapters will be due every other Friday for 10 points. Entries must be typed.
A provided rubric helps score the chapters on neatness, thoroughness, creativity, grammar/mechanics, and punctuality. Students can explore different formats (ex: interview, letter, speech), or simply complete reflective entries. The completed SMB is given to seniors at graduation!
I keep an individual file folder in my classroom for students to submit chapters.
