These are a fun way to teach Preschoolers and Kindergarteners to recognize and write their alphabet, while also giving them sensory input! Great for busy teachers, because they're NO PREP.
• 15 Sensory Bin Letter Matching Mats (Letters A-Z) These are designed to be used to match with the letters in the sensory bins.
• 9 Letter Match and Trace Mats (Letters A-Z) These are designed to be used as a letter match, just like the previous mats, but then children also get the additional practice of tracing the letters they find.
(Please see thumbnails and preview for a closer look.)
When I use these, I have set up sensory bins filled with magnetic letters (you can find them at target, Walmart etc.) The black letters on the mats are sized specifically to fit the standard magnetic letter.
I let the kids play and explore the sensory bins, while digging out letters. They each have a mat with letters on it, that they must search for in the sensory bins. When they are able to locate letters, they place the letters from the bin over the letters in black on the mat. (They enjoy doing this!)
Thanks so much!
