This the second product in a coming series called "Creative Writing at Theville." In each product, I will introduce a character who represents a specific creative writing skill, write a short story that is high-interest and engaging for teens, and include activities that help students practice this skill.
The product includes:
1. A short story about Seth, a young boy who loves "hoagie day" at school and has a crush on a girl named Penelope. He tries to be one of the first 50 people in line at school so that he can get a good hoagie!
2. 3 activities for students to engage in after reading that help identify, analyse, and use sensory details.
3. A lesson plan for teachers or a sub to follow.
4. An answer key.
5. A poster to display in the classroom after reading.
This product features two other Theville characters: Penelope (personification) and Victor (action verbs). Check out my store to see their stories!
