Need a fun social warmup? This activity is so much more then a worksheet. It encourages appropriate peer interaction, turn taking, self reflection of sensory processing/strategies, and direction following. Depending on the size of the group and the number of questions you have the students/clients answer this and it can take 10 minutes to an hour. I would begin the session by going over what alerting and calming tasks feel like. End the session by reviewing some of the answers and talking about how we all have different sensory needs. Being different isn't wrong, its just different. Have the students/clients understand that we need to be more tolerant of others and their sensory differences but also understand how our sensory behaviors can affect others!
