What educators are saying
This activity came with clear directions for use. I like that it included sentences specifically for students with hearing loss.
Description
Do you have students who need additional support with complex grammar? Sentence Combining is a long used strategy to teach, practice and use complex grammar. This fun activity uses the visual of a bridge for the conjunctions. Twenty-one sets of sentence fragments are provided with the content of social or study skills. An additional 9 sets are provided for functional self-advocacy skills for deaf/hard of hearing students. Use in one on one or small group settings or in classroom ELA Writing Centers. Eight uses are described to providing greatest to least scaffolding which makes this an excellent tool for differentiation. Data sheet is included to track students' accuracy with conjunction use.
