This freebie contains two sentence prompt strips (print as many as you need or write on the table like I did!). There are eight animal photo and word cards as well as 34 (color coded for articulation sounds) words that will complete a simple sentence and describe the animal used.
For example: The elephant is huge. ELEPHANT and HUGE are the cue cards inserted into the sentence prompt.
You will find that out of the 34 words provided there are new vocabulary to introduce such as "gigantic, quick, sneaky". There are several sets of antonyms "Short/tall" as well as synonyms "silent/quiet".
I used this activity with PreK and Kindergarten aged kids but it would be appropriate for all elementary grades.
To make the activity more difficult, pass out the descriptive words and have the students name several things that fit that description in a complete sentence. For example: The word is TINY. The student will be prompted by using the sentence strip and say: "The bead is tiny. The ant is tiny. The sand is tiny."
I hope you enjoy and please leave feedback!
