Use these games and activities to help your students learn about the different sentence types: simple, compound, complex and compound-complex.
The first game is a "sentence search". Students can work individually or in group challenges to find and label the different sentences. You can use these as bell ringers, for brain breaks or for early finishers. A PDF slide show will help you go over the answers with your students.
The second file contains a game with four different versions that will get your students out of their seats and collaborating to practice what they have learned about the types of sentences.
Note: the use of these games requires that students have already had instruction on the types of sentences.
