Sentence Dictation | Kindergarten Writing Activity

- PDF

Description
Do your students need practice writing sentences by sounding out words, referring to the word wall, using the proper capitalization, punctuation, handwriting, and spacing? Sentence Dictation will help build their confidence to become independent writers.
What's Included:
*Recording sheets for "Teacher Assisted" work (single-line & handwriting lines)
*Recording sheets for "Independent Work" (single-line & handwriting lines)
*Page of sample sentences
How to use:
*Start your class with the "Teacher Assisted" page.
*Choose a sentence from my provided list, or make up your own.
*Read the sentence aloud to the class as you work together to write the sentence using proper sentence formation. (I like to complete only one sentence a day so I can correct any mistakes for the student to see before we move on to the next sentence.)
*On the "Independent Work" page, you will again read a sentence aloud to the class, but they will independently write the sentence on their paper without any teacher assistance.
More detailed instructions are included in the Preview.
