The following is a sentence sorting activity. It contains 3 panels. There is a panel for complete sentences, run-on sentences, and sentence fragments. The students are asked to cut the sentences from the sentence list out, and then, they must place them on the correct panel.
This simple activity will help your students identify the different errors in sentence usage.
I recommend printing the panels off on cardstock and laminating them. This way you can use them over and over again. Next, you can either make copies of the sentences and distribute them to each of your students or you can laminate the sentences and cut them out yourself. You can then place them in a plastic bag and have your students to sort them.
