begins by defining fluency and lists the characteristics of a fluent sentence.
The lesson introduces three ways students can improve the fluency of their writing:
• using parallel structure
• eliminating redundancies
• varying the structure of their sentences
Each method is clearly explained with numerous examples
. Simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences are also discussed as ways to proved variety in sentence structure.
