The bonus part is, they will (hopefully) remember the BLT strategy during benchmark or standardized tests without you having to remind them.
I designed this PowerPoint to relate to students ages 8-13.
Take your students through this PowerPoint over the course of 2-5 days (depending on the length of your writing period and the academic level of your students). Supplement it with checks for understanding and extra guided practice. Included is a self-evaluating rubric on the last few pages so that you can display it during the entire school year when editing, revising, or drafting!
