Sentence Puzzles for the December Holidays can be cut apart to make puzzles to help kids learn words in context. Students use sentence punctuation as clues to make sensible sentences using sight words and winter holiday words:
Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, candles, December, Santa Claus, presents, winter, light, letter, people, decorate, north, colors,
A, and, are, bring, cold, did, eat, fly, for, fun, get, give, good, green, have, I, in, is, it, jump, light, like, many, my, on, play, red, run, seven, some, thank, the, there, think, too, use, warm, we, when, white, will, wish, write, you,
Bird, brother, children, coat, letter, night, party, Santa Claus, school, snow, song, tree

I am working on more sentences because I find that sentence puzzles are motivating and instructional for reluctant readers. They help improve confidence and students use the punctuation to solve the puzzle, making them aware of how important it is.
