This is a high-energy way to practice concepts from the Realidades 2, 1A Chapter.
This game mostly focuses on how to use affirmative and negative words in context, but there is a little review of boot verbs and vocabulary as well.
Simply print two sets of these words (each set on a different color), divide your class into two teams, and you're ready to go!
Pass out a set of words to each team, and make sure each student has about two words. Then, read one of the provided English sentences, and have each team race to form the Spanish version in front of the class with their papers.
This zip file contains both a PDF and an editable version of the game. Included are detailed instructions, sentences to read and the correct answers (see thumbnails 2 and 3), and 37 words to print (see thumbnail 4). The file also contains Smartboard slides, if you would prefer to show to sentences instead of reading them. If you don't have the Smart Notebook software, you could start a free trial or use a free version at: http://express.smarttech.com
Here are some of the sentences students will be asked to form:
We always ask for help - Nosotros siempre pedimos ayuda
There's no one here - No hay nadie aqui
I have to give speeches - Yo tengo que dar discursos
There isn't any boy here - No hay ningun chico aqui
