Sentence Snakes lets your class create their own sentence using 100 of the most common sight words. Let your students write a sentence, then find each word from the printables and cut them out. Use brass brads to attach each segment together, to give you a movable snake once finished (tape or staples will also work). Blank segments are provided so students can write in their own words not on the list.
This activity is great for teaching parts of a sentence and linking words. Students can choose from two head choices (rattlesnake or boa constrictor) and two tail choices. See who can build the longest Sentence Snake in your class!
