This resource is a set of pages with examples of how to use a variety of sentence starters in narrative writing. These pages could easily be used as slides to project on an Interactive Whiteboard for easy teaching or as a cooperative activity. Also included are 2 easy to print and fill out activity page for students to record their own sentences using the suggested sentence starters.
These pages were originally designed by Janine @jemimaj9 to assist students in a writing catch-up programme. The pages are simple and clear without the clutter that can distract and confuse students with learning difficulties.
I use a dyslexic friendly font has an original italic style and wide letter spacing which will make for easy reading for all students. The heavy weighted bottoms give an indication of direction and assists the dyslexic learner recognising letters with ease. Because the shapes of the letters are unique it prevents bdpq confusion from flipping and swapping.
Success is seen when learning comes to life.
