Spanish Sentence Strips are hands on; a tactile way of practicing sentence structure in a foreign language classroom.
I call them "sentence strips," because each packet consists of strips of color-coded pieces of paper with different sentence elements provided for students to generate sentences
. Of course, you can call them whatever you like. :D
****Please download the FREE PREVIEW to see exactly what is included in this packet!****
Students use the sentence strips and the verb PODER to come up with fun sentences about what people can and can't do (Luisa can't jump on the bed. We can eat ice cream. Ricardo and Jorge can't watch horror movies.)
I copy off the different color-coded elements, cut the pieces out, and place them into envelopes. I label the envelopes so I can keep them to use again the following year.
These Sentence Strips are handy because you can use them as an in-class activity, but if a student is absent when you use them, you can let them take home an envelope to make up the activity.
So, each envelope should include:
- 1 set of Instrucciones
- 1 set of Subjects
- 1 set of verbs
