Included are 10 large print outs of different examples of sentence structure from the novel Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. Also included is an answer sheet (2 on one page) for students to circulate around the room and identify parts of the sentence (subordinating conjunction, coordinating conjunction, independent clause, dependent clause). Then students will identify if the sentence is simple, compound, or complex. Print out the sentences and post them around your room (I even post some in the hallway). This is a great activity that gets students up and moving, and helps them to review sentence structure.
