Sentence Structure, Sentence Fragments, and Complete Sentences
Product Description
This is a fun enrichment activity that connects reading and writing to grammar! Students use a popular text to build knowledge of sentence structure. "Sentence Construction with Origami Yoda" is aligned with Common Core standards.

The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger is a loved book among children, however, Origami Yoda does not speak in complete sentences! This activity engages students with the text while identifying sentence fragments. On the scale of Bloom's Taxonomy, this task requires students to work at the basic knowledge level when identifying sentence fragments, think critically as they justify their choices, analyze the sentence, and finally evaluate and revise to create complete sentences.

Not only is this a great way for students to review and enrich knowledge of sentence structure, but it also exposes children to new literature.
