There are many ways to use these cards. You can use them with students as a warm up or in small groups. You could use them in partnerships or with students that need a reteach. I love using task cards in my classroom. I frequently use them in stations or with students that finish early.
To use these cards I suggest you print them in color, onto card stock and laminate them. However, if you choose to print them in black and white or on regular printer paper, they will work just as well. An answer sheet and answer key is provided.
There are 26 total cards. The sentences that were selected are from well know literature in the public domain. (The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving, The Gettysburg Address by Abraham Lincoln, The Ransom of Red Chief by O. Henry, On a Woman’s Right to Suffrage by Susan B. Anthony, and many more.)
