This Sentence Types Sorting Activity is the perfect activity to help your students gain practice identifying simple sentences, compound sentences, complex sentences, and compound-complex sentences. It's the perfect activity for middle school students in grades 5-7!
Students will sift through several sentences printed on cards and place the cards in the correct column under the headings: simple sentence, compound sentence, complex sentence, and compound-complex sentence. Students will then record their answers on the recording sheet to submit to the teacher for final approval and/or grading. An answer key has been provided for ease of grading! This also makes a great center activity where students can self-correct when completed!
