Teach students to implement sentence variety in their writing using the pig organizer. Using the pig as a focus and parts of speech and phrases as a guide, students learn to create a variety of different sentence beginnings. Brainstorm different names for the pig and place them in the noun section. Ask students where do pigs like to go, and place the phrases under the "Where?" section. Once all of the sections are completed. Students practice using the different sections to begin their sentences.
