I used this cute little packet in my classroom to encourage my students to expand their "normal" sentences into better sentences by adding an adjective. My kids love these packets and ask to use the all the time. This edition was for Christmas.
This can easily be used at home to help your child expand his/her sentences from simple to more complex sentences.
I build upon this unit by with the previous units from Building Sentences in my store. They can be found here:
Building Simple Sentences:
This packet includes 16 different sets of pages to write about. Each one has a page in color and one in black and white. There is also a page that will show you examples of how I used this in class and examples of Common Core State Standards that I think this activity could fit into.
