Description
This bundled set of writing task cards is geared toward helping you teach key writing skills and strategies in a “quick write” setting. So often we immerse our students in huge writing projects—and these big projects DO have real value.
That being said, sometimes it’s nice to be able to teach writing minilessons, do some good modeling, let students practice and get creative, and then share their success. That’s exactly where these cards can help!
This set includes task cards that help with the following writing skills:
- Identifying run-ons and fragments
- Combining sentences and adding details to write complex sentences
- Thinking about transitions—adding on to sentences
- “Show not tell” to write with more sensory detail
All the sets include the following components:
- Teaching tips and ideas
- Color and black and white printable task cards (24 cards per set)
- Printable recording sheets
- Digital slide access. Students can record in text boxes on the slides OR on the digital recording sheet.
- Optional extension ideas
Please click on the preview to get a little background and one sample preview so you can see the format of these task cards. All full previews are available on Teachers Pay Teachers. This bundled set allows you to purchase all 4 resources at a deeply discounted price.
I hope you find these useful--whether you use as a print resource, send digitally, or some combinations, these task cards can help your students develop their writing skills in a safe, easy-to-plan and teach, way.
