This is a wonderful sentence creation set with a community helper theme. It will help your students begin their sentence writing with pre-printed subjects and predicates.
It allows them to choose a subject sentence card and a predicate card. They then combine them on the included printable worksheet so that they can create a full sentence. The worksheet allows them to check for important areas of sentence writing such as:
It also allows for them to identify the subject/noun and the action/verb of each sentence in a guided manner. There are 2 sets of sentence cards to allow for differentiation of your writers. Set 1 has picture clues to help your emerging readers, while set two does not.
The sentences become rather silly upon their combination and make writing more fun!The combined sentences will have your students smiling as they write sentences such as "My mailman flew a plane." and " My sailor ate spaghetti.".
This is set 2 of Learning to Write Sentences. Be sure to look for Set 1-Farm Version and all future sets to add to your classroom resources.
