These activities can be used to sort sentences into different categories: incomplete, complete, statements, questions, commands, and exclamatory sentences. Students will need to rely on their understanding of sentences and background knowledge to also assign the correct punctuation to the sentences when they are sorting. These are great to help teach grammar and specifically the differences between interrogative, exclamatory, declarative, and imperative sentences.
Students use the gray boxes as headers, which are glued onto paper. All white boxes need to be cut, sorted, and glued!
