This mini bundle contains a PowerPoint, set of 24 task cards, and a practice handout for students to learn about sentences, fragments, compound sentences, and run-on sentences.

PowerPoint - provides students with an introduction to the following topics:

- Sentences
- Fragments
- Compound Sentences
- Coordinating Conjunctions
- Run-On Sentences

Students are given examples of each and shown how to fix fragments and run-ons. Students are also given practice identifying all of the above as well as fixing fragments and run-ons.

Most of the slides can be printed, laminated, and displayed as posters in your classroom as well.

Task Cards - set of 24 task cards provides students with practice identifying sentences, compound sentences, sentence fragments, and run-on sentences. It also provides students with practice fixing fragments and run-ons. A recording sheet for students and an answer key for teachers is included.

Handout – provides students with practice identifying sentences, fragments, run-on sentences, and compound sentences as well as fixing compound sentences and fragments. This handout can be used as homework, extra class practice, or even a quiz!

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.3.1h Use coordinating and subordinating conjunctions.
CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.3.1i Produce simple, compound, and complex sentences.

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.4.1f Produce complete sentences, recognizing and correcting inappropriate fragments and run-ons.*
CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.4.2c Use a comma before a coordinating conjunction in a compound sentence.
