You are not going to want to miss out of this awesome work station grammar pack! It includes 4 different activities working with sentences.
In activity one, The Great Sentence Switch, students will be working with the importance of word order when writing and reading sentences. There are 12 pre-made mixed up sentences with additional cards to write your own sentences on.
In the second activity, Sentence or Not?, students will be looking for the properly written sentences. The focus of this game is the capital letter at the beginning of the sentence and punctuation at the end. When they have the sentences sorted into proper or not proper they then have to take the not proper sentences and sort them into what type of end mark they should have. This is a 2 in 1 sort for your students to be working on all in the same game!
In the next station task, So Excited!, the focus of the activity will be on the use of the exclamation mark in a sentence. Students will need to read the sentence on the card and decide if the sentence needs an exclamation mark or a different end mark.
In the last task, Show or Tell, students will be working with telling sentences or commanding sentences. While these both use a period at the end they are very different types of sentences. Students will sort the cards into commands or statements.
There is a recording sheet that can be used for each of these 4 work station tasks included.
These work station tasks will engage and help your students with sentence structure and you will with no doubt see their writing improve.
